We came here for the world-famous Kobe beef, expecting an unforgettable experience. Unfortunately, what we received was far from it. Our chef, Sunil, seemed incapable. It honestly felt like he was either in training or cooking for the first time. To our surprise, he told us he had been doing this for two years.
The flow of the meal was a disaster. We received every component separately, with no sense of balance or timing. By the time the vegetables arrived, the steak was already gone. Rice and soup only came long after all the meat and vegetables were finished. Meanwhile, we could clearly see another chef at the same restaurant serving dishes in a coordinated, proper sequence for the guests sitting next to us. The contrast was shocking.
Taste-wise, the food itself was fine, but absolutely not worth the price. The quality-to-price ratio is simply unjustifiable. Honestly, I’ve eaten better steaks from random cows in Belgium than what was served here under the prestigious name of Kobe beef.
In short: the restaurant might deliver a great experience if you get one of the skilled chefs, but if you are unlucky enough to be seated with Sunil, prepare for disappointment.
