We found this Resturant through Google and made reservations prior to arriving to Japan for our vacation.
We arrived an hour early for our reservation and the restaurant allowed us in. There was only one other person in the restaurant eating but she left prior to us finishing our meal. The restaurant was clean and quiet.
A non- English speaking female chef initially took our order. She later provided us with an English menu’s making it easy to read.
We ordered three drink’s, a gin cocktail (¥1,900 yen), a Sake drink(¥1,900 yen) and a small bottle of wine ( Kisshokich, 2019 Bordeaux). We pointed at each of these drinks as we ordered them.
We also ordered three steaks, all from the “Special Recommendation” top portion of the menu. The steaks were, two of the 165g (¥ 23,700 yen) and one of the 110g (¥ 15,800 yen) steak. We all clearly pointed to the picture of the steaks at the top of the menu in the “Special Recommendation” section.
We all ordered three Set “A” choices of rice, salad and vegetables, two were upgraded to the Garlic Rice (¥ 900 yen extra for the upgrade).
Sunil, our chef, spoke English but wasn’t fluent. Despite this, he was very kind and engaged with us while preparing our meal. Although he combined the three steaks we ordered, even though one of us had requested a smaller steak. The steaks were cooked to our preference of rare. We all agreed that the meat was tender and incredibly flavorful. We thoroughly enjoyed our steaks.
While Sunil was preparing our meal, we received the steaks first prior to receiving anything else that we ordered. Because of this we tried to eat our steak’s slowly while we waited for the vegetables to finish cooking. This appeared to be kinda awkward that we received our vegetables, onions, lotus roots, and Napa cabbage or “Hokusai” after we had already eaten our steak’s. The rice and soup arrived last and we never received our small side salad. We have all dined at several fine restaurants and this sequence was absolutely not correct.
Overall we enjoyed our dinner despite the order on how the food was delivered to our plate’s.
