Came in with no expectations, was greeted very warmly with the chefs, who took an effort to google translate when we didn’t understand what they were saying, very warmly too, not begrudgingly. I feel like I was visiting a Japanese household.
Food was nothing short of amazing, every single thing we ordered were so delicious. We had the nigiri, sashimi and the garlic butter fried rice. Since it was lunch, there is complimentary salad & soup, which were also satisfyingly fresh. The cherry tomatoes in the salad were so yummy, salad and dressing were well-balanced, and oh my gosh the miso soup is heavenly, balances the beef-iness at the end of the meal!
Ambience is also great, it feels like we’re stuck in the past, I am so happy to not be hearing Sabrina Carpenter / Demon Hunters on the speakers, but they were all like english classic songs which I really really appreciate. (FYI Smooth Operator by Sade just started playing here- COME ON!)
