This place is awesome. I randomly walked in off the street around 4:30 pm and the place was empty, which concerned me, but was filling up by the time I left. Extremely friendly staff. I’m a total meathead. I’m a newbie to Kobe beef. Had it once before in the US, but I’ve had lots of Wagyu and I must say the sirloin is miles ahead of it. Surprisingly I preferred the less expensive sirloin to the more expensive chateaubriand. I highly recommend trying the sampler of both so you can make your own decision and go from there. I decided to order the sirloin sashimi, referred to as “loin” on the sashimi menu after the sampler and it was my hands down favorite. I totally splurged and the prices are what I expected, but there are lots of surprisingly affordable options if you are on a budget and don’t have a hollow leg like me. If you are from the US the exchange rate is great at the moment. They take credit cards and they are English friendly. Did I mention they have liter beers? I have been in Osaka for a week and this is my favorite dining experience by far. In the heart of Dontonburi the location could not be better. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
