This was by far the worst restaurant we’ve ever eaten in Japan. First of all, when you go to this type of restaurant, you expect interactions with the chef. The chef did not talk to us at all. He didn’t even explain to us what he served us. And it felt like he was rushing to serve us just for him to be left in peace. We had to ask several time how the meat should be eaten with the sauce and ingredient. He never answered until we asked another chef who vaguely answered.
From the reviews we read before coming, it felt like a show and lots of interaction between the cook and us. None of this happened.
Regarding the food, average at best, nothing impressive for the price we paid.
So all in all, the worst experience we’ve had so far. Highly disappointed and really do not recommend this place.
And the worst part is that we came specifically to Kobe to try this meat for the first time and we’re just left disappointed.
