Beware of this ‘tourist trap’ Kobe Beef restaurant. Was excited to have a lovely Kobe Beef dinner in the city of Kobe itself. Turned out we’re having an unexpected hard & chewy beef, even a much cheaper non Kobe beef was way better than this.
We almost got scammed with look like a self-made receipt. Everything is the same, but crazily markup total. The waiter said sorry it’s a mistake, supposedly next table’s bill. Luckily I managed grab back the fake receipt & surprised wheb we compared the 2 bills at home. When told the other waiter, she also said the same thing. Looks like they all know what’s going on already.
It’s a bad experience for us, but we still thank God we were aware & didnt just tap the card (which I believed this scam succeed to other guests already). Hopefully others (tourists like us) won’t experience the same thing like this.
