We came to Kobe specifically to try Kobe beef, and were also keen on the teppanyaki experience. Instead what we got was an underwhelming performance from an amateur chef that fumbled around with his tools. I've seen more entertaining performances at market stalls. I assume we were assigned the novice chef because we didn't order the $800 steak? Needless to say we left disappointed and still hungry. Luckily it's located in Chinatown, so we were able to have a succulent Chinese meal for a good price afterwards that left us satisfied.
