Beware there’s a small service charge plus tax (which is normal) plus foreign tax 外税 which I had never seen before in Japan. We ordered the mid range set at dinner time It was good but not extraordinary. We ended up spending about ¥5,000 each including rice and vegetables. Seemed overpriced given it was the smallest quantity beef. It was a good experience on the whole except for the extra hidden small charges. They are nowhere to be seen on the menu and nobody told us in advance. This is the main reason why we won’t be back. As a side note I don’t really understand why these Wagyu beef restaurants in Kobe are mostly formal with outdated decor. They all look very similar.
