We did a day trip to Kobe from Kyoto to see the city and sights. But the plan was to have an amazing dinner before leaving.
Saw the reviews and decided on this spot.
Very intimate place. Seating for maybe 8-10 total at the bar.
The food was very good. But spending 78000 Japanese Yen ($480 USD) I do not feel there as any customer service or “wow” factor. We were seated quickly. Shown the menu and ordered the mid size portion of Sirloin and Filet. A beer and a whiskey neat.
No interaction. No lively chat or involvement. Just cooked the meal, instructions on sides/dips. Done. In and out in 30 minutes. A $500 fast food experience.
We went mid day (late lunch / early dinner). Maybe the chef was at end of shift before evening chef came in. I don’t know. But bummer to walk away feeling like it was a rushed 1st time experience.
