My good friend and I decided to try Kobe beef last night. We were told by the host that they didn't have any open spots, but they directed us to one of their smaller restaurants nearby, where we were met by an enthusiastic young cook named Sota. He was eager to speak English and was very good at explaining everything. The meat was extremely good, but I found the Kobe sushi to be too subtle in flavor, even though the presentation was excellent. The Kobe beef that Sota prepared was the best beef I have ever had.
