Didn't like that I had to ask not once but TWICE for the full menu. Not sure if this is staff or store conduct: I was given the most expensive menu first, then the less expensive menu, and when I asked again the 2nd time finally was given the better value menu in which I saw earlier during the day before dinner. Visited on 10 Apr 2025 one of the female chef was also the service person aforementioned. Felt like a minor scam. Got me wondering if there's still another menu being hidden.. Other than the above, the whole meal service was alright.

Visiting Osaka from Hong Kong amd tried this teppanyaki beef restaurant. Chef Kai has upgraded my taste about purebred TAJIMAUSHI. The distinctions between "Fillet", "Sirloin" and "Special rare part" were clearly introduced. The beefs were carefully cooked into a pinkish and jucy state.

Sadly this place taught me something about high ratings in Osaka - they are a red flag. Why you ask? Because Japanese people tend to rate things very harshly and even a 3.0 score on their local restaurant review website Tabélog is considered very good. So a place with so many high ratings can only be mean one thing - it’s only for tourists, no locals come here. And to be honest we quickly figured out why, the prices are simply a scam. Look around town and you will see that other restaurants charge a fraction of this place’s prices and a quick look at the butcher prices at the nearby Kuromon market will confirm the egregious markup that this place charges. Of course we had a good time (it’s Japan after all) and the place was spotless, the service friendly etc. But it doesn’t change the fact that it’s a total tourist trap trying to get your money. The beef wasn’t even that tender.
