The premium and standard Kobe I had was 4/5 (I had some pieces that weren’t as good as a regular steak in the US) but this was my first time having Kobe beef. We did have some issues though. We were the only group when we arrived and the staff pressured us to order the most expensive items. Only after uncomfortably hesitating for a while, did the chef tell us to flip the page and look at the standard Kobe options which were half the price. Not sure if the lower price led to us getting served by a very inexperienced chef (different from the one who took our order) who not only served meat that was noticeably red to our family member who asked for well done and served the most meat to the one who asked for half the meat but also seemed very new at cooking—having to use his hand to pick something up after failing to do so with the spatulas. Another staff spilt an entire bowl of soup on the table, TBH not sure if they would’ve done anything different if it was split on a person. Overall for the price, the meat was just ok but I definitely won’t be back and recommend somewhere where you’ll get better experience.
Lastly I got charged a 5% service fee (not sure if its only for group of 4) and they do cook some vegetables in a plastic bag—but claim it’s ok since they use some kind of food grade material though I’m never ok with heating plastic directly on the grill.
