After trying a very good kobe beef teppanyaki at Kyoto, then coming to this restaurant. This pales in comparison. This review may have some comparison from the very good one.
Probably because I did not make reservation at other restaurants, the well rated ones all fully booked. I just walked into any available restaurant. There must be the reason why they were fairly empty in a peak dinner timing where everyone else is full.
Price point, Menu is more expensive, but the quality, variety, exquisite and service is sub standard.
The vege is just quarter cabbage and a mushroom cream sauce cooked in plastic wrapper. I was abit concerned over the plastic, hope it is food safe. Sauce was bland and not impressive, felt like just a dollop of cream off supermarket shelves.
Beef was abit overcooked. It was not as tender as I hope it would be. I ordered kobe beef, but I was not able to taste if it's any better than other wagyu.
Not many side dishes included in the set menu.
Having tried a very good teppanyaki restaurant just 2 days prior, hence I rate this as not worth coming. A tourist trap.
