Very disappointing experience.
We ordered a 120g fillet and a 120g sirloin and paid around £300 in total. For that price, the quality and overall experience were nowhere near what we expected.
We had previously eaten at a similar teppanyaki restaurant in Ginza, where the steak was incredibly tender, we also had a large lobster, drinks, and a proper cooking performance, all for significantly less money. That experience felt genuinely special. This one did not.
We specifically asked for the steaks to be cooked medium-well, but both arrived much closer to medium-rare. My daughter does not usually eat rare meat, but we decided not to send it back because I did not want to spoil the evening for her.
The vegetables were also disappointing. They were browned on the outside, but not properly grilled or cooked through, so the texture still felt undercooked.
At this price point, I would also expect the meat to be prepared by an experienced senior chef. When a restaurant is charging this much for premium Kobe beef, there should be no room for basic cooking errors. Serving both steaks at the wrong doneness made the experience feel even less justified.
Another thing that made us uncomfortable was being asked repeatedly to leave a positive Google review. We were asked around four or five times, including while we were still eating. That level of pressure felt excessive and made me question the unusually high rating.
The restaurant was almost empty, the cooking itself felt basic, and the food simply did not justify the price.
Nearly £300 for the two portions of steak shown in the photo was, in my opinion, extremely poor value. I would not recommend this restaurant.
