This is the Chinatown branch of Kobe Beef Yakiniku Yazawa. Equally as good but in a much less crowded area and more relaxing to enjoy your kobe beef dinner. When you order the course menu (they also have a la carte), they will bring out the trophy as guarantee you're having legit Kobe beef. I asked one of the staffers how heavy it is and they let me hold it and it was quite hefty lol.
The staff will grill the meat for your, especially if you ordered kobe beef but you can tell them you want to do it yourself. They will then instruct you how to get the desired rarity -- I remember it was 30 seconds each side for medium rare and 1 minute for well-done.
Even though it is in a quieter area, there was still a line for it beginning at around 6.30pm so I highly recommend you get a reservation ahead of time to avoid the wait!
