Amazing service and food! The beef was so good it melts in your mouth. The beef-rice bowl is awesome. Also, the wasabi and sauces offered actually taste good by themselves, not too strong but having a nice savory-sweet taste.
I recommend getting the 18000 yen (110 grams) recommended kobe steak. That one is pure deliciousness! We tried one that is more expensive, like by quite a bit. That one was probably more lean, yet super juicy and tender for a lean cut and probably healthier, but personally we still liked the 18000-yen steak better. Price doesn't always correlate linearly with tastiness. However, all of the steak were truly oishii; it was the best beef we had on our 1-month trip in Japan.
Moreover, the service was amazing! There was only one waitress who was very accommodating, and the chef PERSONALLY comes out to check on his customers, recommend food, and assist in the ways of eating beef. He was very very friendly, helping us take photos, and when giving a recommendation, he actually didn't recommend the most expensive beef, but rather the cheaper one which he thought we might like better. You can tell he is thinking from the customers' perspective.
Truly fantastic beef. Plus, the experience is reasonably priced if you know how to choose.
Recommended if you go to Kobe! But either go when there's little people, or reserve on a busy day. It's a pretty small restaurant.
