This was my first time visiting Kobe and trying the famous Kobe beef, something I had always wanted to experience. After spending almost a day searching for the right place, I finally decided on Kobe Beef Takakura, which is conveniently located just opposite JR Kobe-Sannomiya Station. We arrived around 7:30pm and were lucky to get seats even though we didn’t make a reservation in advance. We ordered 100g each of Prime Kobe Beef Sirloin, Tender Red Meat, and Normal Red Meat. Chef Morita did an excellent job — he was very accommodating and extremely professional while preparing the steak. He also shared helpful tips on the best way to enjoy Kobe beef. The entire dining experience lasted about 45 minutes and was absolutely amazing and enjoyable. In total, we spent around ¥34,000 for the three portions of Kobe beef, along with rice, soup, and red wine. It was definitely a memorable first Kobe beef experience!
