We made the trip to Kobe specifically for the experience, and it was honestly a disappointment. The reservation system didn't make much sense, we were told to return after arriving a few minutes early, yet people were constantly being seated and leaving throughout our meal, so it never felt like a relaxed dining experience.
The Kobe beef was average but not exceptional enough to justify the price or the hype. Our chef simply went through the motions with very little interaction or personality. Another chef who started later seemed much more engaged, explaining and emphasizing precision, which highlighted the inconsistency in the experience.
Overall, it felt more like a restaurant designed for Instagram photos than one focused on hospitality or creating a memorable dining experience. Considering we traveled to Kobe specifically for this meal, it simply didn't live up to expectations.
