Kissho in Kobe was an unforgettable experience. I’ve eaten well in many places, but this was on another level entirely. The quality of the wagyu was absolutely exceptional: tender, rich, flavorful, and cooked with a precision that felt almost ceremonial. Every bite melted effortlessly, releasing layers of taste that you really only understand when you try true Kobe beef at its source.
The atmosphere was calm and elegant, with the chef preparing everything right in front of us. Watching the entire process turned dinner into a show — a mix of technique, attention to detail, and genuine passion. Even the side dishes were treated with the same level of care: perfectly balanced vegetables, subtle sauces that enhanced without overwhelming, and rice cooked to perfection.
Service was warm, attentive, and never intrusive. The staff took time to explain the cuts, the cooking method, and even suggested the best order in which to taste each piece to appreciate the full range of flavors.
Kissho isn’t just a meal — it’s an experience. If you’re in Kobe and want to understand what real Kobe beef is supposed to taste like, this is the place. A spectacular dinner from start to finish.
