My friend and I had been trying to find a good restaurant to eat Kobe beef at. Wanomiya was highly recommended on tabelog and we had no issues setting up a same day reservation at the desired time. When we got their we were greeted by a friendly staff who confirmed our tabelog reservation and sat down. Since we made our meal choice ahead of time once we received our drinks they were already getting prepped to cook our food in front of us. We did make one alteration by upgrading to a slightly fattier cut of kobe beef and the staff was happy to oblige once they understood what we were asking for. The food was phenomenal, the beef was cooked perfectly and the accompanying dishes served to accent the steak. The chef was very friendly and gave some excellent recommendations for how to eat the food they prepared. I'd definitely go back but I would recommend making your reservation through tabelog. We got a reasonable amount of kobe beef for a pretty fair price that i think you would get going al la carte. All in all, if you really want to try kobe beef, I'm not certain you could get a better deal/experience in Osaka.
