Chanced upon this charming hole in the wall Ramen joint at 10pm. We were really lucky that we didn't have to queue (judging by the day's queueing document outside the shop) and were the last customers of the night before they closed at 1030pm. This Kobe Beef Ramen was mind-blowing for me not because it was chilly and I was hungry, but because at the first sip of the beef broth, I was transported back home. A good dose of fried shallots to accentuate the broth further, some coarse pepper, and a generous serving of beef slices made me go to heaven and not want the meal to end. On the other hand, I wasn't too impressed with the shop's Number 1 item, the Shio (Salt) based Ramen. Though it came with interesting side dishes and even a beef sushi, I think those were just accompaniments and didn't bring anything substantial to the main dish. Also had the Kobe Beef Chutoro sushi at 800¥ a piece, and it was 800¥ well spent.
All in all, highly recommended.
