This is my third visit to this restaurant, including this one. My first visit left a strong impression; the Kobe beef broth was incredibly delicious. I vaguely remember the taste being different on my second visit.
Several years passed, my memory faded, and I was very hungry, so I checked online reviews and made my third visit. Human memory is so unpredictable… This time, I'm writing a review to make sure I don't forget.
The moment I entered the restaurant, I noticed it was filled with foreign tourists, making me realize that Kobe beef is a tourist attraction. I took a seat at the counter furthest back, near the kitchen.
A staff member immediately explained the menu, mentioning three sets (including meat sushi and ramen).
I had intended to only eat ramen, but the menu didn't list the price for a single serving. I regretted not checking the menu outside before entering.
After the menu explanation, I asked the staff member about the price of a single serving of ramen. Apparently, it's 1100 yen, with both salt and soy sauce flavors. It's quite expensive, but I chose the salt-flavored ramen that was included in the set.
Incidentally, the meat sushi and ramen set was 1800 yen.
Then the ramen arrived, and I tried it, but it didn't taste like the Kobe beef broth I'd had before. In fact, it had absolutely no umami. The meat on top was so bad I suspected it was canned, which made me very sad. Maybe I had the soy sauce version before...
I'd skipped rice all morning, and it was expensive, so I finished it, but even though I usually order extra noodles and drink all the soup, I left immediately. Incidentally, extra noodles were 150 yen.
The reviews are good, but I wonder if it's geared towards foreigners...
