We were excited to eat Kobe beef but we fell for a the waiter guy who said it is number one Kobe beef in the whole world (should have clocked right then). We ordered 2 courses, and two Kobe beef, one of them was quite chewy and not much flavor and the second one was tender with flavor, beef nigiri was good but nothing special, soup, salad and beef stew were so mid too.
Food overall was pretty mediocre honestly for the price, pretty expensive. We spent $130 to be left feeling scammed, I’ve had way better tasty food for 1/5th of that price in Japan . For a restaurant that’s named 5 star, I would give it a two or one. I would skip this restaurant. If you think higher price makes better food, you are wrong. Also the bathroom/toilet is so tiny and crammed for a “5STAR” restaurant. Playing western pop music was a weird choice. Casual rap music in this price setting hmm
