Definitely avoid this place. The younger chef you see in the reviews is rude, disrespectful, and violent. We never felt so insulted and shocked by our encounter especially in Japan. We were unfortunately 10 minutes late due to difficulty finding the restaurant and simultaneously received an unprofessional email for being late. We arrived and apologized, and he reluctantly seated us. While we were reviewing the menu, we felt incredibly uneasy by his rude behavior and decided to not dine. As we stood up, he grabbed his knives, tried to block us, and threateningly shouted we pay a cancellation fee. There was absolutely no mention of a cancellation fee when we made the reservation via google. We actually felt we were in danger and quickly escaped into the busy, crowded streets. We never felt so unsafe and contemplated whether to report this to local authorities. The business should take action against this chef's behavior, and every person looking up this establishment should be made aware.
