AVOID AT ALL COST!!! Thank you for giving me such a bad experience in Kobe! When I entered the restaurant, the chef spoke Chinese with us, but we did not understand, then he said “Sawaadee Krab” as he may have thought that we were from Thailand. We said we are from America, then the chef said “I dont speak English well”. Ok fine but you may continue reading to find out the truth here. As I mentioned when I was seated, this is my first time in Kobe and Japan, I expected a pleasant service from a country like Japan. Unfortunately, it seems that we look “poorer”compared to the Chinese group of 4 right next to us, the chef named “A. Han” did not seem excited to greet and serve us, but we paid $$$ for this rude service???. We felt ignored and isolated the whole time. He didn’t explain to us how to eat and enjoy the precious Kobe meat. He never wanted to talk to us, but chef Han was joking and laughing with the other table. To make the environment look less serious, I talked to chef Han first to ask how he was doing and I found out that he used to live in Los Angeles for 14 years, so it’s not becoz he doesn’t speak English…he was just ignoring us…. I am very upset as in the US, we were never treated like this. I am totally aware that we are foreigners but we are not begging you for food, re-consider your attitudes. If you come to my country, would you be happy to be treated this way? The Kobe Beef is okay but doesn’t worth the price. Thank you once again for making Kobe look so unplesant to our trip experience! NEVER GO BACK to this restaurant PERIOD
