While the Kobe beef was absolutely great, this location is not worth the price. The experience itself is what makes a Teppanyaki worthy of the price and this instance fell far short. Having been to 3 other Teppanyaki during our 2 weeks here this was by far the worst experience. There was no true welcome to the restaurant, no hostess, and the Chef is also the person taking all of your drink orders, going to get the drinks and serving them. At a location such as this, one would expect wine glasses to actually meet the basic requirements but instead we were served wine in obvious gin and tonic glasses since they were labeled Fever Tree for the brand of tonic. Water glasses labeled Johnnie Walker. It’s very obvious that this location has a minimal investment and hopes that solely the Kobe beef keeps them operational. Rather than creating an experience they provide meat. Kobe beef was fantastic but not worth the price compared to other Wagyu we tried along this journey. The atmosphere itself was very poor. Very loud which is incredibly unusual. We were seated right beside some type of audible alarm to notify the staff if someone entered or exited the restaurant. Very unpleasant to listen to throughout your “experience”. The chef herself was very pleasant and provided a great output but Teppanyaki is about much more than the good itself. This is a location I will never return to and would recommend choosing one of the other many restaurants to try Kobe. This was the most expensive meal of our two week trip and it was such a letdown.
