Our first time to Kobe and Japan. This really dampened our spirits. My husband wanted to eat Kobe beef and we came to this place coz of all the good reviews. As I’m not a beef person, I just ordered a beer. The chef was so kind to give me a small bowl of salad. However the Japanese supervisor or manager, a lady, made a big issue out of it, scolded the chef in front of us and even came up to me to ask if I would like the salad AFTER they had served it. After that she took it away and after scolding the chef and arguing the matter, the poor chef came back and gave me the salad. 🥗 I wasn’t able to eat it. How would you be able to eat after being treated like that? Mind you we paid $130 for the meal. Really unacceptable service. Where we come from, service standards are really high and the customer is king. You really should not make people feel terrible or put down when they come to your restaurant. I hope you have more kind staff like the chef that initially served us. She knows what a good service is about. Having said that, my husband really enjoyed the meal and said the beef melted in his mouth.
