Our experience with Kobe Koujyu was an accident but an unforgettable one. We had a party of 6 but unfortunately reserved a Kobe restaurant on the wrong day and not many places can take 6 people on a whim. Stumbling upon Kobe Koujyu on the second floor was like finding a hidden treasure! It had such an intimate, benihana style seating and they accomodated us well on such a short notice. The staff and chef tolerated and joked with our broken Japanese and met us where we were. While the meats were quite the price, each bite was soft and worth it. Geetu paced us through the meal well and prepared the meats in small pieces with suggestions on flavor combinations to bring out the profile of the meat and vegetables. Highly recommending getting the garlic fried rice as it filled us up so well. We'll come back one day to Kobe to continue trying their beef after this first experience for sure!
