Spent the day climbing the hills into Nunobiki Waterfalls, followed by a tour of the Kiku- Masamune Sake Museum and finally a hike up and around Fushimi Inari Shrines. After 23001 steps, 11 miles… ascending to an elevation of 4550ft twice, I couldn’t think of a better place to rest my feet and eat the best steak I have ever eaten served by the amazing Okagami and his great recommendations. Our family of seven after being turned away repeatedly at other Kobe beef restaurants, was welcomed in our hiking clothes and we embraced the amazing A/C, ice cold beer and hospitality of the restaurant to have two premium meals one for 3-4 and one for 2-3. Each steak dish had Nakanishi Ranch Kobe filets, sirloin and surprise cut served with a range of sauces. I can absolutely recommend the surprise cut with wasabi and soy sauce.. wow melt in your mouth amazing. Finally … I’m a Texan and I can absolutely say that I think we should open a Kobe beef farm in Texas so I can eat this stuff for the rest of my life. Seriously… best meat I have ever eaten. I’m 54 and I have eaten amazing steaks all over the world and this is the best bar none. Thank you Red One… what a great experience…
