Service would be 4.5 but was leaning higher so I put 5 stars. The staff were very friendly and quite conversational. We had a lovely talk with them. The lady speaks Chinese as well as English and Japanese. The food was excellent and they absolutely deserve the 1st place rankings that they have been awarded. The ONLY reason why service is not perfect is because they forgot that we ordered garlic rice instead of normal rice. Other than that it was impeccable. The chef grills your meat to your liking (we chose medium rare) and then gradually serves it to you with a mixture of various dipping sauces and toppings. The atmosphere was amazing as we went for the 11am service. We were the only ones inside until the very end when a couple of quite nice Puerto Ricans came in. You sit right in front of the chef as he cooks. No notes. Truly a once in a lifetime experience unless you live in Kobe, in which case it’s once a month. Would come again in a heartbeat.
