If you want the “highlight” of your trip to Japan to be the most expensive meal where the food was so bad you couldn’t even swallow it, then come here! No idea how this place got its high ratings. We could have gotten a much better meal, instead of spending 10x more here. Bill came up to 31,000 yen for 2 people. All we ordered two portions of “today’s rare part”, two sets of rice/salad/soup/pickle/dessert combo and a small flask of sake (900yen). The steak was so stringy we couldn’t even chew it that we had to spit it out, as you can see from the pictures. Neither the chef nor the waiter bothered to ask us how it went, so I guess they must know it was bad? You would think a restaurant with a wall full of awards should have more pride than to serve food of this quality.
Dessert was a huge let down too. Go somewhere else, save your money. This was meant to be the special meal of the trip but my partner left feeling so sad and disappointed after looking forward to this meal for months.
Also, don’t be fooled that it’s difficult to get a reservation here. Because it seemed like we were lucky enough to get the last seats here when we booked months ago. Turns out we were the only diners for the evening!
