Our family had an amazing dinner experience here at Kobe Beef Gennkichi. The Kobe Beef was out of this world. Service was very attentive, and we were quite lucky another booking didn’t show up - so we had a whole restaurant to ourselves. Thanks to Chef Onishi and Chef Goto for our delicious dinner. Highly recommend this place for those visiting Kobe!!!

This is the second time I am coming here for the very reason that the first was so spectacular - I absolutely had to come back here again! My friends and I were so warmly welcomed by the staff and were introduced to the food and recommendations very professionally. KOBE BEEF IS THE KING OF ALL BEEF 🥩 The meal and the experience is like no other and it is worth the price you are paying for. Special shoutout to Keiji (KG), for going above and beyond to keep us entertained and even specially gave us a kimono origami folded by his daughter! He asked for our names and then wrote our names out in Japanese on a thank you card for us.

My parents and I had a wonderful experience at Kobe Beef Genkichi! Keiji aka “KG” was a phenomenal chef and host! This is an exclusive private restaurant with only ten seats. You must make reservations in advance. While we were eating, the chef had to turn away three sets of guests. We were a bit early and KG said we needed to come back at 1 pm. When we got back at 1 pm, he apologized profusely as the folks before us were still wrapping up. Once seated we were able to order. The Kobe beef came with a generous lunch set. Everything was delicious: sashimi, shabu shabu, salad, vegetables, Kobe beef, soup, and dessert. This restaurant also won many awards for the best Kobe beef! I highly recommended making reservations and enjoying the atmosphere, and especially the food if you’re visiting Kobe. Hopefully, you’ll be lucky and get KG as your chef!

The must try if you are in Japan !

The whole experience with Chef Keiji was amazing. The atmosphere, service and quality of food were incredible. It was on the more expensive side but this was worth every single dollar. Highly recommended to visit for your first Kobe beef.
