Quite simply - the best beef I've ever had in my life. And I pride myself on cooking ribeye at home at least weekly and cooking it rather well. It was not cheap but it was absolutely worth every penny. The staff were awesome, and the experience is well worth the effort of making it to Kobe.
We booked our reservation for lunch the night before. Make sure you get a reservation. Chef KG (or "Nicholas Cage" as he jokingly referred to himself) was awesome!
You can find beef in japan nearly this good for much less but you cannot get this level without making the effort.
Everything is cooked in front of you.
Cannot stress, fairly well traveled and well fed in my life; this was the single best piece of beef I have ever tasted. I got the premium sirloin set course. Whole experience was a blast. Thanks Chef KG & Team!
