5 stars for the food – the quality and preparation of the beef were outstanding.
Everything was handled with care, and dietary restrictions (no dairy, low gluten) were respected – though one or two courses were skipped without explanation. A few words of explanation would have helped to feel more included.
The service appeared a bit overwhelmed at arrival. While other guests got the oshibori (wet towel), it was unfortunately forgotten for us and never brought, a small detail but noticeable.
The atmosphere was unexpectedly lively: the host KJ actively encouraged guests to take photos and cheer, creating a loud and energetic mood.
There were no Japanese guests that evening, and the experience felt more like a performance than the quiet, refined dinner we had hoped for. That mismatch was on us – we should have researched better.
Still, the restaurant is highly professional, and the meat quality alone makes it worth visiting.
If you look for an evening of entertainment with a great show and outstanding Kobe Beef: this is for you.
If you want an evening where the food is the star in a refined and silent setting - there are probably better options.
