Before anything, the beef tastes amazing, so if that’s all you’re concerned about then don’t hesitate to book. However, we were greeted at the door by a bored and frankly rude employee who (while working in the kitchen) audibly snorted and coughed up phlegm throughout our stay. Extremely disgusting!
The chef also addressed only my wife (who is Japanese) and expressed how 90% of his customers were foreign and he was thankful she was Japanese. Quite unprofessional! He also talked in a condescending manner to his female employee in front of guests, which most wouldn’t understand but I did.
They also need to work on the timing of services. Before we’d been finished there were customers waiting to take our seats, which was quite uncomfortable and made us feel like we needed to rush out.
I won’t fault them for the fairly uninviting setting which feels a bit like a dungeon, but I will on the fact the overhead decorations needed a serious dusting. Considering the price of the meal, these faults can’t be overlooked.
