We went to this restaurant specifically to try Kobe beef. We chose the set menu, and the first courses were quite good—everything seemed promising until we got to the main dish: the meat. Unfortunately, it was cooked by a trainee (?) who ended up boiling it instead of searing it (there was no Maillard reaction). A terrible experience, especially considering that the highlight of the meal was supposed to be the beef!
For such an expensive and high-quality cut of meat, you’d expect it to be prepared by a professional chef, not someone still learning.
As if that wasn’t enough, they brought us the bill while we were still eating dessert—as if they couldn’t wait for us to leave.
Definitely a tourist trap. I wouldn’t go back.
