This place is beyond incredible. I don’t even know how to overstate that it not only lives up to its multiple awards and accolades, but so far exceeds them that it feels like a rare gem/hidden treasure. From start to finish, the experience was intimate and total. Keiji (KG) is so nice and such a humble human being for how accomplished he is, he feels like an old friend. He intentionally got to know us all by name and asked us about our lives and made us feel personally included in the experience. He thanks you for coming thrice. He takes so much pride in the craft and it shows. It’s one of the two best dining experiences I’ve had on the planet, and I’ve been to Michelin stars across the globe.
And the food—it’s the best steak I’ve ever had. Point blank. And I’m a Texan. I know steak. Nothing compares to authentic Kobe beef and the way KG prepares it. It stunned the entire room. He’s a world class chef and he knows his Kobe beef. The entire staff was amazing as well.
If you’re in Japan, it’s worth the trip. You have to do it. You can’t leave and not do it. It’s been the highlight of our trip.
