Where do I even start? This is our 2nd visit to Genkichi since 2023 and we came back this year because it was so so good. As a returning customer, I am very happy to see this business thrive because it has all the food, chefs, ambience and energy to give anyone an unforgettable experience. Our first visit set the bar extremely high and this visit was no exception. KG was our main chef with Yasu serving other customers and they both had electrifying energy. Born and raised Kobe locals living their dream profession with pride, it is impossible for you to not be as excited as them when they cook and serve you with passion. Eating Kobe beef in Kobe skilfully prepared by these Kobe chefs is an experience I will always come back for whenever I visit Japan. Look no further if you’re looking for the best of the best in Kobe. This is a brain-gasm worthy experience and still stands as my “last meal on earth”. For our repeat visit, we are very honoured to have also received a special gift from KG, who is also the restaurant manager. To KG and Yasu, keep doing what you love and continue to spread the joy of Kobe beef to the world 🫰🏼
