This is really place to try Kobe beef steak while in Kobe! The food is the best and the staff (Cage) is sooo nice. If you wanna have great time with friends or even as solo traveller definitely visit this place.. totally recommended!

Amazing experience at this Kobe beef restaurant! My group of three arrived early for our noon reservation and they were able to accommodate us. Service was fantastic, and one of the chefs did great communicating with us in English. We ordered three different lunch set specials, including the premium sirloin and the marbled beef which were all very delicious. They also were accommodating regarding my seafood and nut allergies. It was a special experience as we were the only customers at lunch on this day and the chef chatted with us a lot. The entire experience took us 1.5-2 hours for the lunch set course. Would definitely recommend!

A real highlight of our time in Kansai! We made an advance reservation for lunch here on a weekday. Definitely do the garlic fried rice upgrade. Fukujo sake recommendation also paired perfectly with the beef. Entire meal was phenomenal, well-paced, and one of the chefs (Keiji) was really friendly and welcoming and spoke great english (way better than our Japanese for sure). Absolutely loved the recommended sirloin as well as the marbled beef. 120g meat was just right per person. Vegetables and dessert also all extremely fresh and impeccably prepared. We were the only three in the 10 seat restaurant and the intimate experience was so so delightful. Money well spent.

Incredible meal! Amazing beef was a given, but the salads and soup were also great. We arrived so early that we saw the fresh vegetables being delivered to the restaurant. We watched the meat and vegetables being grilled to perfection and enjoyed their various suggested toppings and seasonings as well.

The best meal i have ever tasted in my entire life. Also, our designated chef, Cage, was really funny and nice. This made the entire experience as great as i can imagine.

Small but cozy Restaurant, only 8 places, absolute delicious dinner with excellent KOBE Beef and a very experienced Teppanyaki Chef - since 40+ years. A bit on the pricey side but definitely worth it. Would come again if I could.

To coin a phrase, ‘When in Kobe…’. My family and I went to finish off our day trip with a Kobe beef teppanyaki dinner at Genkichi and it was amazing! This was a cozy 10 seat venue and the steak was meticulously prepared and the beef was cooked to perfection. Highly recommended and reasonably priced for such a special meal.

Last minute booking and it was the best meal for us in Japan

Small counter steakhouse with 8/10 place. Just a great place, impeccable service and all A5 steak with a wide range of cuts and marbling ratings. Appetizers are great, delicious soup, veggies are very fresh and super desert. Very good experience.
