I highly recommend this Kobe beef Genkichi Wagyu restaurant. Our chef Sugimoto Keiji (KG) was very kind and accommodating to foreigners. The experience was great and the meat was fantastically delicious. My group tried the Sirloin, marbled beef and tender red meat and thought that the marbled beef was the best of the three. When I asked the chef he said that all of the Kobe beef is bought from auctions and sold at the restaurant.

Keiji Sugimoto (KG) is the great chef that cooked the food and interacted with us during our meal.

Extremely tasty, highly recommend this! Great atmosphere and great service. Very nice and inclusive staff. Thank you to all the staff and the master chef Keiji!

We went to this restaurant specifically to try Kobe beef. We chose the set menu, and the first courses were quite good—everything seemed promising until we got to the main dish: the meat. Unfortunately, it was cooked by a trainee (?) who ended up boiling it instead of searing it (there was no Maillard reaction). A terrible experience, especially considering that the highlight of the meal was supposed to be the beef! For such an expensive and high-quality cut of meat, you’d expect it to be prepared by a professional chef, not someone still learning. As if that wasn’t enough, they brought us the bill while we were still eating dessert—as if they couldn’t wait for us to leave. Definitely a tourist trap. I wouldn’t go back.

Kobe Genkichi is the perfect mix of great food and fun entertainment. Chef KG (the Handsome Cool Guy) puts on an unforgettable show while cooking—fire, jokes, and serious skills at the grill! Incredibly funny, effortlessly handsome, and a true entertainer in every sense of the word. The entire team was just as impressive. The service staff were sweet, genuinely kind, super attentive, and full of charm. You could feel that they truly cared, top-notch, 1A service with a smile. This was hands down one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. Delicious food, a warm and vibrant atmosphere, and a team that knows how to make your night special. KG and the whole crew ,absolute legends!
