This was the most incredible and tastiest meal I've ever eaten!!
It's an intimate ten seat teppenyaki, and the gentleman who served us was very accommodating. Despite our complete lack of ability to understand or speak Japanese, he walked us through the menu, what Kobe beef is, and facilitated a conversation between us and the chef.
Upon learning it was our first Kobe beef experience, they even steered us towards some cuts of meat they thought were better bang for the buck. It was literally the opposite of the up-sell we're accustomed to!
Every single thing they put on our plates was incredible. Even the seasonings (toasted garlic chips, miso, and wasabi - all local to the region) were incredible on their own, and they guided us on the best combinations of each to sample with our beef.
The A5 Kobe beef is otherworldly. If you're searching for an establishment like this, then you know!
The quaint atmosphere, friendly service, and unique presentation put the entire experience at the top of our list for our time in Japan. Simply fantastic!
