Caution!
I was curious about this restaurant on my morning walk because of its 1800 yen steak rice bowl.
While I was looking at the sign, a woman came out and told me that the steak rice bowl was a lower grade than the Kobe beef steak advertised on the sign, and that the meat wasn't as tasty. She recommended the 2500 yen option instead.
I was hesitant because the steak rice bowl had received positive reviews, but I was persuaded to go in. My family of four sat at the counter, only to find that the 2500 yen steak was only 80g, while the 120g portion I was expecting was around 4000 yen.
As a result, we ate tough meat that was difficult to chew and swallow. I'm glad we stuck with the 80g portion. (Costco's might be tastier.)
The last time I was here, I went to a Kobe beef restaurant a few doors down, and they had 120g for around 3500 yen, and it was delicious. It just goes to show you have to do your research before trying local cuisine! I'm sharing this because of that.
