We were recommended to this restaurant by our Shioya tour guide, Sumile, and it was a fantastic experience from the start. We were warmly greeted by the staff and our teppanyaki chef, Yuya Umemoto. Although there was a language barrier, Yuya kindly used Google Translate to communicate and made sure we felt welcome and informed throughout the meal.
He explained the different types of Kobe beef, and we opted for the variety family dinner for the four of us. Yuya prepared each cut one at a time, recommending specific spices or sauces to pair with each — and every bite was absolutely delicious. The steaks were incredible, the vegetables perfectly cooked, the miso soup comforting, and the garlic fried rice... that was the perfect finale! A truly memorable dining experience.
