Caution!
I was on my morning walk and noticed a restaurant with a 1,800 yen steak bowl.
As I was looking at the sign, a woman came out and told me that the steak bowl was of a lower grade than their signature Kobe beef steak and the meat wasn't as tasty, so she recommended the 2,500 yen option.
Even though the steak bowl had received positive reviews, I was persuaded, and my family of four finally sat down at the counter. The 2,500 yen signature dish was 80g, while the 120g we were expecting was around 4,000 yen.
In the end, we ate tough meat that was difficult to chew and required a lot of effort to swallow. I'm glad we went for the 80g. (Costco might be better.)
The last time I was here, a Kobe beef restaurant a few doors down was about 3,500 yen for 120g, and it was delicious, so I thought it was important to study local cuisine beforehand. So I thought I'd share it.
